PRS IS RETURNING TO THE BLACK SWAN INN, AND THIS TIME AROUND, WE ARE HOSTING A LONGER OVERNIGHT INVESTIGATION!
AN EVENT HELD BY PRS ENTERTAINMENT LLC.
Spend an entire night with Buell and members of The PRS Bureau investigation team as we investigate the property of The Black Swan Inn. We’ll bring some of the most useful equipment to attempt to communicate with the otherworldly, while also using different investigation techniques. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never investigated before or you have some experience. The Black Swan Inn has a rich history and is known for being very active throughout the year!
At the start of the evening, we will provide a presentation where we go over the history of the property and its activity. We will also introduce the tools and methods we will use, as well as how we will use them throughout the night. Because the property is so big, we will be setting up stations where attendees can participate in the activities. These activities range from an old-fashioned spirit communication session, the the Ganzfeld Experiment, Estes Method, EVP sessions and playback, Spirit Box, Fear Room and more.
As for the investigation itself… Ryan and the PRS team will always be present and will be actively investigating with you. The investigation will start at dusk and wrap up by 6am. We will investigate the main building, which includes a seance area and psychomanteum. There’s also the grounds, where several people are buried. Then there’s the back building, where previous investigators have had more chilling experiences. The last time Buell and PRS investigated the Black Swan Inn, Buell witnessed an apparition and several team members captured remarkable EVPs.
INVESTIGATION HIGHLIGHTS
Investigation “Method Stations”
During the investigation, we will set up a few method stations where investigators (that means you, since you’ll be investigating with us) will participate in communication experiments. Here are some of the ones we plan to use:
Gansfeld: One of the most useful communication methods that PRS has utilized for almost two decades is the Gansfeld Experiment. It is a sensory deprivation experience, where investigators sit alone in a room, wearing noise-canceling headphones and blurred goggles (which enables the investigator to only see a red shade of light). Investigators report hearing voices, or being touched during this experience.
Estes Method: Similar to the Gansfeld, an investigator acts as the receiver, where they are blindfolded and wear noise-canceling headphones, which broadcast white noise into their ears. Outside of the receiver, investigators will ask questions, while the receiver blurts out whatever words they hear, completely unaware of what the investigators are asking. It is an intuitive experiment.
Spirit Communication & Psychomanteum: One of the key things that PRS enjoys doing at the start of an investigation, is to start off with a traditional spirit communication session. The Black Swan Inn also has its own psychomanteum room, where an investigator sits in very dim light and observes mirrors around them to see if anything materializes.
Investigation of the grounds and other buildings.
It’s not just the Black Swan Inn that has reported activity, it’s the entire property. While we will be conducting investigations inside the main building, some of the more intense experiences are reported outside on the grounds.
The owners, along with investigators who repeatedly investigate the property, report that there are often “traveling” entities that are attracted to the energy of the space.
Although the owners do not believe there is anything dangerous on the grounds, there have been reports of more intimidating personalities manifesting in other areas, mainly towards the woods and in the all-purpose building out back. We will be focusing on EVPs and spectral photography in these areas.
Learn about and use some of the latest spirit communication technology.
You are welcome to bring your own equipment if you’d like. We recommend bringing: digital recorders and a headlight. That said, we will be bringing in our equipment which we will allow investigators to participate with.
Spirit Box (tentative). In the early 2000s, a paranormal researcher by the name of Frank Sumption accidentally stumbled on creating a device he (and others) believe thins the veil between our reality and the other side. People report hearing clear voices responding to questions. PRS has used these devices on a few investigations with rather remarkable results. When PRS investigated the Black Swan Inn back in 2023, investigators reported hearing responses to questions.
EVPs and Video Recording. PRS will be setting up video recording stations to monitor the investigation, as well as conducting EVP sessions. Some of our investigators will be bringing some of the older voice recording technology, which does not filter out unwanted sound like modern recorders do. These recordings have been found to be more effective in capturing anomalous voices.
Other equipment: We’ll be bringing a variety of other paranormal equipment that has been used by esteemed researchers.
