Join PRS and NESPR for a once-in-a-lifetime event, where select items from the Warrens Occult Museum will be housed inside West Virginia State Penitentiary… including the REAL Annabelle.

AN EVENT HELD BY PRSE LLC.

PRS is returning to the legendary West Virginia State Penitentiary (as featured on “Paranormal State”). This time, they’re also bringing along NESPR (the world-renowned team founded by Ed & Lorraine Warren) as well as select items from the Warrens Occult Museum. One of these items is none other than one of the most haunted objects in modern history… the real-life Annabelle.

This will be the first time in decades that people will be able to investigate with Annabelle at a haunted location outside of Connecticut.

Because of the high demand and interest in this event, we will be offering two ticketed experiences… first, we are offering a weekend experience ticket, where attendees/investigators will get to investigate WVP for two overnights. Secondly, we will also offer day passes, who may want to come to the museum to learn about - and see - the real Annabelle.

Full Weekend Experience (limited to 40): Our full experience will run Thursday night - Sunday morning, where we will spend time getting to know one another through a dinner and meet-and-greet, host a couple workshops and then plan for our overnight investigations. On Friday and Saturday night, we will stay overnight at the prison, investigating various levels as well as doing different experiments. This also includes investigating the prison with the Warrens’ haunted museum artifacts.

Saturday Day Pass: For those who just want to visit the location to see the items and take their picture with Annabelle, we will also be offering day passes.

SOME HIGHLIGHTS ABOUT THIS EVENT

The real-life Annabelle doll will be housed for the first time at West Virginia State Penitentiary.

The REAL Annabelle doll and other objects from The Warrens Occult Museum will be inside WVP

Some of the most famous items from the Warrens Occult Museum (including the real Annabelle) will be on display inside West Virginia State Penitentiary. Attendees/investigators will have the opportunity to not only investigate the prison, but also the area where the items are stored. This will be the first time Annabelle has ever traveled to WVP and it will also be the first time people will have the chance to participate in an investigation around Annabelle outside of Connecticut.

Please note: Out of caution and in the interest of safety for all those attending, NESPR is bringing Father Bob Bailey, a Roman Catholic priest who is knowledgeable in the field of the supernatural. Father Bob Bailey has also appeared on “Paranormal State,” and is a dear friend to PRS. He will be present for the whole weekend.

Day Passes will also be available if you just want to travel to WVP to check out the museum.

Investigate West Virginia State Penitentiary with us!

INVESTIGATE WVP FOR TWO WHOLE NIGHTS!

In our experience, we believe we get the most activity (and most out of the experience) if we get to investigate a location for multiple nights.

For this event, attendees will join us for two overnight investigations on Friday and Saturday. Every attendee will get to investigate for 5-6 hours a night.

Investigate with a team of experienced investigators. Whether this is your first time investigating or you are a seasoned investigator (or somewhere in between), just know that our team will be there to help guide you along the way. The team includes Ryan Buell, director of PRS, Father Bob Bailey, a Roman Catholic priest, Dan Rivera and Chris Gilloren, trained members of NESPR and Wade Kirby, a lifelong friend to the Warrens and investigator.

Participate in Experiments. Since West Virginia State Penitentiary is so large, we will run a variety of experiments throughout the weekend that you can learn about and also sign up to participate in. Some of these experiments include: investigating the Warrens Occult items, Ganzfeld Experiment, Estes Method, the FEAR Walk and much more!

Be a part of a safe and supportive group that loves to explore the paranormal!

One of the things that PRS events prides itself in are safe and supportive spaces. If anyone is coming alone, or if it’s your first time investigating, we fully welcome you and will do everything in our power to help you feel supported the entire way.

Most of our regular attendees have started off traveling to one of our events alone and they have made life-long friends.

Some of the ways we like to enhance our attendee experience:

Meet-And-Greet And Social Time. We know it can feel overwhelming to travel to an event and meet a bunch of strangers for the first time. We offer time where we sit with newcomers to get to know them. Many of our regular attendees also go out of their way to get to know newcomers.

Collaborative Experience. Although we do have a schedule outline for our events, we regularly take in feedback and talk as a group to help make sure everyone is having a great experience. Since this is a paranormal investigation, we will regularly meet before, during and after each investigation night to share experiences and discuss what we can try differently for the next night.

Frequently Asked Questions

email us at PRSHAUNTEDEVENTS@GMAIL.COM for questions

I'm coming by myself and I don't know anyone.  I'm afraid of not fitting in.

Everyone started out just like you.  But please know that you'll be amongst like-minded people, and it is VERY easy to make friends.  We are all sharing in an adventure together.  You will have a good time as long as you have a good attitude about you.

Are We Allowed To Bring Paranormal Investigation Equipment? Yes.  We encourage this.

Weren’t Ed and Lorraine against moving objects out of their museum? Also, weren’t Ed and Lorraine against letting people be exposed to these items?

The short answer is no. While Ed and Lorraine Warren were alive, they would occasionally bring items from their occult museum out for public viewing. They were aware that there was public interest in seeing these items, so they would occasionally take them to lectures so people could see them. In addition to that, Ed and Lorraine offered museum tours. However, after the release of “The Conjuring,” they had to shut down museum tours since the museum is housed on their home property. This is why NESPR occasionally allows the items out of the museum, so people can view them. It also helps keep the Warrens legacy alive by educating the public about their cases.

What precautions/protections will be in place if we are investigating the prison along with very haunted objects?

The objects (including Annabelle) will be housed in one particular room in the prison. Annabelle ALWAYS remains in her case (which is regularly blessed), where she is bound. If people are uncomfortable investigating in that area, you do not have to. There are plenty of other areas within the prison to investigate (after all, it housed hundreds of inmates at a time).

That said, the area that the Warrens Museum will be set up will be blessed, and NESPR is also bringing Catholic priest Bob Bailey to be present the entire weekend.

Deposit Policy:

Attendees are able to sign up for the event by paying a half deposit upfront, with the final deposit being due by March 15th, 2025. If you fail to pay your second deposit by the due date, you may forfeit your ticket and you will NOT be given a refund. Please see our refund policy for more information.

Alcohol/Substance policy:

We are vehemently against alcohol or any mind-altering substance intake prior to, or during, an investigation. We have a strict policy that you cannot drink prior to or leading up to the investigation. If you are suspected to have had alcohol or under the influence of alcohol (or any other substance), you will not be allowed to investigate and you will NOT be given a refund.

Will I be able to take pictures with the Warrens Occult items?

Absolutely!

Are the investigations going to be too intense for me?

It’s hard to answer that question. Everyone has their own personal boundary. Here’s what WON’T happen: you won’t be left alone against your will. If you a frightened, there will be experienced investigators who will be able to talk with you and if need be, walk you out if you feel unsafe. PRS will not allow for things to break out into hysterics.

With that being said, we are going into some of the most active places in America. Thankfully, they’ve been well investigated, so people typically know what to expect. A lot of activity has been reported in all the locations we are investigating. Above everything, we hope you enjoy yourself.
